Creative Focus
Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to work with the incredibly talented wedding videographer Greg Burnett for a portrait session in the studio. Greg is known for crafting heartfelt, cinematic wedding films — so the goal with this shoot was to reflect that same creative depth in his portraits.
We used a mix of lighting setups to capture different sides of Greg’s personality and profession. For the cleaner, brighter shots, I went with a three-light setup — giving us crisp, even lighting and a polished, professional look. For the moodier, cinematic portraits, we stripped it back to a single-light setup, creating more dramatic shadows and contrast to echo the storytelling vibe Greg brings to his films.
Greg was an absolute pro in front of the camera — relaxed, engaging, and genuinely fun to work with. Whether he was deep in concentration behind the lens or sharing a laugh mid-shoot, every frame captured something authentic.
These portraits will be a great asset for Greg’s personal branding — ideal for his website, social content, or marketing materials.
If you’re a creative or business owner looking for fresh, dynamic portraits that actually feel like you — let’s chat. I’d love to create something that fits your brand as well as these shots fit Greg’s.
